Who I am

I'm Alexey Magay, a software developer based in Brussels with a background in computer science, AI research, and backend engineering. I graduated from NYU Abu Dhabi in May 2025 with a GPA of 3.8.

I'm drawn to AI's practical side — building systems that actually reduce human workload, not just demos. At Yandex I achieved 70% automation coverage of workflows that were previously manual. My research into assistive AI has been published at ECCV 2024 and IROS 2024.

Outside of work, I run my own cloud infrastructure (including this website), follow financial markets closely, and spend time on sports and gaming.
